Maryland Democrat Indicted for Role in Wild Blackmail Scheme

Maryland State Senator Dalya Attar (D) was indicted on charges stemming from an alleged scheme to blackmail individuals she felt would compromise her campaign.

News of the indictments was reported Thursday by The Baltimore Sun . According to the report, they were handed down a week ago. Federal authorities alleged that Attar — the first Orthodox Jewish woman to serve in the Maryland State Senate — was part of a plot that involved “planting tracking and recording devices” to obtain footage of two unnamed individuals in bed
