A 70-year-old man has died and three others, including a child, have been injured after a helicopter crashed in Doncaster, police have confirmed.
South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to reports that a helicopter had crashed in a field on Ings Road in Bentley shortly at 10.14am on Thursday morning.
In an update this afternoon, the force confirmed that a 70-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 41-year-old man, who was the pilot of the helicopter, and two passengers - a woman, 58, and a 10-year-old boy - received minor injuries, the force said.
Senior investigating officer, DI Matt Bolger, said: "Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died in this tragic incident.
