NEW YORK (PIX11) — The seasons are changing, the peak of fall foliage is behind us and Election Day nears. That can only mean one thing: Is it time to turn our clocks back?
Yes. New York will "fall back" on Sunday, officially ending Daylight Saving Time in 2025.
What does "fall back" mean?
The return of standard time means the sun will rise and set earlier in the day. So, 9-to-5 folks will most likely get out of work when the sun is down.
On the plus side, because we move the clocks back, you'll gain an hour of sleep on Sunday!
When is it time to set the clocks back?
We will set the clocks back by one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday. That means 2 a.m. will become 1 a.m. If you'd like to get ahead of falling back, do it before you go to sleep on Saturday!
