MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The former athletic director for a high school in Marshall County, Mississippi, was arrested by state agents and accused of embezzling money from the school.
Nick Coln, who worked for H.W. Byers High School near Mount Pleasant, faces up to $5,000 in fines and five years in prison, State Auditor Shad White said Thursday.
Coln allegedly received funds through CashApp from student athletes to purchase athletic equipment and then converted those funds to his own personal use, White said in a news release.
