With the province’s childcare agreement with the federal government set to expire next March, a new city report shows a significant gap in coverage for kids from birth to age four in Stratford and the surrounding area.

A report to the city council’s social services committee on Monday shows that just 16 per cent of kids in this age group in Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County will have access to childcare by the end of 2025.
