Loudoun County Public Schools is facing new legal accusations that it retaliated against two high school boys who objected to a transgender classmate using the boys’ locker room, escalating a clash already drawing scrutiny from federal authorities.

Attorneys for the boys and their families filed an amended complaint Wednesday in Virginia federal court that adds fresh factual allegations and a civil conspiracy claim. The filing argues that the district coordinated with a local political action committee to smear the families publicly after the boys challenged Loudoun’s finding that they committed sexual harassment.
