INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was convicted Thursday of seven felonies for the 2021 kidnapping of his wife.
On Oct. 30, a jury found Ivy Sisson guilty of two counts of kidnapping, two counts of criminal confinement, one count of domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon and two counts of intimidation — all felonies — following just one hour of deliberation.
According to court documents, on Sept. 16, 2021, a security guard at an IU Health facility located in the 8800 block of South Meridian Street , near County Line Road on the south side of Indianapolis, spotted a suspicious person outside the building around 5:30 a.m.
Shortly after the security guard noticed the person, they reportedly got into a vehicle and sped away. The security guard then reported the incident to police.
