A woman who was sentenced to probation for second-degree sexual abuse in 2024 is back behind bars after a new charge.

According to Jefferson County Jail records, Dakoda Mauldin was arrested this week for second-degree sexual abuse – second or subsequent offense.

Mauldin is being held with no bond.

Mauldin, a former volleyball coach at Jasper High School, was sentenced to a 10-year suspended sentence with three years of probation last year. The case involved the sexual abuse of a teen girl at a tournament in Trussville.

Mauldin was out of jail in August when she admitted to violating her probation. Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge Alaric O. May released her with time served on October 22, but she was arrested again on October 29.
