As what many Michiganders consider the spookiest night of the year approaches, the National Weather Service is predicting a pretty typical Halloween in Detroit.

During the day on Friday, Oct. 31, the weather is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 55 in Detroit. A west-northwest wind of 11 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph is also expected.

Around 5 p.m., as trick-or-treating starts in some neighborhoods and cities, a temperature of about 53 degrees is expected and will drop to about 49 degrees by 9 p.m., according to a National Weather Service forecast for Detroit .

The sun is expected to set in Detroit at 6:26 p.m., according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration .
