More than two dozen state lawmakers are requesting the Kentucky Parole Board return Ronald Exantus to prison following his extradition from Florida back to the commonwealth, according to an Oct. 29 letter .

In the letter, lawmakers ask the parole board to make Exantus ineligible for re-release and reconsider any credit previously granted toward early release. Lawmakers said the events in Florida “highlight the continuing danger [Exantus] poses to public safety, particularly to children.”

“[Exantus’] history, combined with his recent violations, demonstrates that he remains a serious and ongoing threat,” lawmakers wrote. “Public safety demands that the Board act decisively to prevent further harm.”
