Alexander Jensen says Aberdeen’s gutsy win at Kilmarnock was for under-fire Pittodrie gaffer Jimmy Thelin. ‌

Days after being jeered off in the home loss to Hibs , Thelin’s Dons dug in at Rugby Park for a gritty three points. ‌

That has given Thelin some breathing space ahead of a free domestic weekend. Then it’s back to European action next Thursday away to AEK Larnaca. ‌

Aberdeen sit bottom of the Conference League following their 6-0 battering in Athens. But there are signs of improvement on the domestic front with a mini-revival.

Defender Jensen was part of the side who delivered a third league win in four matches. Stuart Armstrong’s first goal for the club and a doughty defensive stand earned a big Premiership victory. ‌
