CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Schools are also seeing an impact ahead of the SNAP deadline.

The Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) said more kids are now using its in-school food pantries.

The district is urging people to donate food to meet the growing need.

All four of Cedar Rapids’ high schools, Franklin, McKinley, Roosevelt and Wilson middle schools, as well as Hiawatha, Hoover and Van Buren elementary schools have a food pantry.

The pantry at Roosevelt says the number of students asking for help is now rising.
