The government remains shut down as Republican and Democratic leaders struggle to reach a deal. Now in its 30th day, the shutdown is on track to match the 35-day record set in 2018 under President Trump. House Speaker Mike Johnson along with GOP leaders are continuing to point the finger at Democractic leaders urging them to approve president Trump's funding bill. This comes as millions of Americans will be without SNAP benefits come November 1st.
