At its heart, Día de los Muertos is about honoring the past and keeping memories alive, making it almost poetic that this weekend’s celebration in Loveland will be the first public event held in the newly renovated Pulliam Community Building, a place where generations of locals have made memories of their own.

“It’s a little more special to me,” said Lynn Adame, a board member of nonprofit Heart and Sol, which is co-hosting the event with the Loveland Museum. “I grew up here; my parents grew up here. We all have stories of the Pulliam being the center of the community. And so for me, it’s even more meaningful that something that I’m part of will be the first celebration that’s hosted there.”
