MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Badgers football team is having a bad year. They've lost six games in a row and scored just one touchdown in their last three games.

Now, a study from the University of Wisconsin's economic research center has some bad news about the cost of this bad football season.

It says if the team's poor performance continues, it could reduce the football program's probit by about $20 million a year.

That could hurt other UW sports and the university in general.

According to the report, bad football could also cost the city of Madison $160 million a year in reduced attendance, game-day spending and tourism.
