CLOQUET — The Fond du Lac Ojibwe School went into lockdown Thursday morning, following the report of a potential firearm threat.
According to a news release from the Fond du Lac Police Department, a third-party report of a potential threat involving a student was shared with school officials. Immediate steps were taken to ensure the safety of students and staff, and the school initiated a lockdown.
No credible threat was confirmed following an investigation by the Fond du Lac Police Department. Cloquet and Duluth’s police departments assisted in the investigation. The school remained on lockdown until law enforcement could ensure the safety of everyone on site, the news release stated.
