Two women were arraigned Thursday, Oct. 30, in connection to a dog attack on a Port Huron Police Department officer.

Julia Piper, 21, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer after she reportedly released two dogs on the officer as was attempting to make an arrest.

A news release from the Port Huron Police Department stated the officer was attempting to arrest Paige Armstrong, 23, after learning there was a warrant for her arrest.

The officer was called out to the 3500 block of Williamsburg for a neighbor complaint around 10:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
