BARABOO, Wis. -- The man accused of killing a woman at a Lake Delton home on July 4 pleaded not guilty Thursday afternoon, online court records show.
Prosecutors allege that Brandon Bent, 23, killed a woman at a residence in the 300 block of Canyon Road. Bent is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and misdemeanor bail jumping, with charges carrying domestic abuse modifiers.
A Sauk County court determined on Sept. 18 there was probable cause to charge Bent, along with accepting his preliminary hearing waiver.
Bent's bond was set at $1 million during an initial court appearance on July 11. A request for Bent's bond to be modified was rejected during Thursday's court appearance.
As part of his bond's condition, Bent cannot leave Wisconsin except in the custody of ICE. Prosecuto
