Rock star Jon Bon Jovi has paid tribute to his longtime friend Pierre Robert, a beloved Philadelphia radio disc jockey who died Wednesday at age 70, Parade reports.
Robert, a fixture on Philadelphia’s WMMR, was found dead inside his home after reportedly passing away in his sleep, Parade added. Authorities believe no foul play was involved.
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer, 63, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a collage of photos featuring the late DJ.
“Today we lost a great friend,” Bon Jovi wrote, describing Robert as “someone who truly LOVED music. All types of music. Someone who loved musicians. Not just famous ones, or chart toppers. He admired local artists and tomorrow’s rising stars.”
In his emotional post, Bon Jovi praised Robert’s knowledge and character.
