The Arizona Cardinals are planning for Kyler Murray to return from a foot injury and start Monday night’s game against the host Dallas Cowboys.
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon simply said “yeah” when asked Thursday if Murray would be the starting quarterback. He told reporters that the plan for Murray is this: “Get him fully healthy, play.”
Murray has missed the past two games since injuring the foot during a 22-21 home loss to the Tennessee Titans.
The Cardinals (2-5) are coming off a bye and feel the urgency to post a victory.
“We’ve got to do everything we can do to try to win a game,” Gannon said.
Arizona lost both games in which Murray missed while Jacoby Brissett served as the starting quarterback.
Murray, 28, has completed 68.3% of his passes for 962 yards with six touchdowns
