BROSSARD – The Canadiens announced on Thursday that defenseman William Trudeau has been placed on waivers for the purpose of a loan to the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League.

Sidelined with an injury, the blue-liner has yet to see any action this season.

The Habs signed Trudeau to a one-year, two-way deal on July 3.
