SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Thursday passed the “Jammu and Kashmir Shops and Establishments (Licensing, Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Amendment Bill, 2025”.
The Bill was moved in the House by Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary. “A Bill to amend and consolidate the laws relating to regulation of employment and other conditions of service of workers employed in shops and establishments and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. (L.A. Bill No. 6 of 2025),” reads the Bill passed in the House.
The Bill was passed by the House through a voice vote.
The Assembly also passed the Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies Amendment Bill, 2025 in the Legislative Assembly.
