Canyon football player Austin Turner has been voted the Happy State Bank Boys High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20-26.

Turner accumulated 165 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on 19 carries in the Eagles' win against Pampa.

The junior received 13,401 of the 36,560 votes cast for athlete of the week, which was 36.65% of total votes.

Borger volleyball player Alexis Estrada was voted the Happy State Bank Girls High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20-26.

Estrada logged 10 digs, 6 kills and 2 assists against Canyon. The senior received 11,269 of the 36,560 votes cast for athlete of the week, which was 30.82% of total votes.

Students in all varsity sports are eligible and can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport, and athletes from one school cannot win mo
