LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Glens Falls man was sentenced in Warren County Court on Thursday to 25 years to life in prison for a 2024 Glens Falls shooting. The Warren County District Attorney's Office said Paris J. Pettiford, also known as Sunny Black, 39, was sentenced as a persistent offender for the North Pearl Street shooting.
A Warren County jury convicted Pettiford of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, multiple weapon offenses, and drug charges for cocaine and fentanyl on March 21. Pettiford, who has prior felony drug and firearm convictions, shot a man on North Pearl Street near Lawrence Street on January 24, 2024, leaving him with several gunshot wounds from a rifle.
