UPDATED with Giuffre Family statement: Prince Andrew will be stripped of his royal titles by King Charles III amid continued controversy over his links to child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein , most recently in the heartbreaking posthumous memoir of Virginia Giuffre , one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers. Giuffre took her own life in April. Her book was published earlier this month.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.”
