SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Dictionary.com has officially announced their ‘Word of the Year’ for 2025. Whatever word that you’re thinking, it’s probably not that. Western Mass News got answers from local librarians on what this word means, and at this point, what a word even is.
6-7, what does it mean, why do you keep saying it? As a matter of fact, why is it the word of the year?
“I’ve heard it around a lot, and I’ve tried to figure it out myself,” said Jean Canosa Albano, the Assistant Director of Springfield City Library. Dictionary.com has cemented 6-7 as the official Word of the Year.
According to Dictionary.com, it’s a slang term that can be used to mean ‘so-so,’ or ‘this or that,’ or, like the skibidis of old, an exclamation with no specific meaning.
