MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man is behind bars, accused in a shooting that happened in September in the Castalia Heights neighborhood .

The shooting happened at aa home on Cloverdale Drive on September 21.

The victim said Tavares Sheeks came to her home, knocked on the front door and said, “I got your money.”

The victim told police when she opened the front door, Sheeks was standing on the curb with a gun and opened fire.

Sheeks then allegedly got into a vehicle with two other people and left the scene.

The victim said Sheeks owed her $1,200 for mechanic work that was never started, and that the two had been arguing over the money for a while.

The victim told police five other people were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
