Missouri sports betting goes live at 12:00 am CT on December 1, so now is a good time to clear up some recent confusion on the process and which Missouri sportsbooks will be available on that date.
I was scrolling my Twitter (sorry, ‘X’ feed) this morning and came across a post from Patrick Everson of Vegasinsider.com noting that Missouri Commission Gaming chair Jan Zimmerman was quoted in a KC Star article as saying the following:
“If you’re laying in bed on Sunday morning and you want to bet on a football game — you are not in the proximity of either a casino or a sports team — the untethered licenses (DraftKings and Circa) will be the ones that will be available to you.”
As Everson’s thread goes on to explain that this is patently false.
