MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A judge sentenced two defendants to time in jail for beating a teen worker unconscious at a Cordova restaurant in July of 2023, according to the Shelby County District Attorney's Office.
Darius Brantley was sentenced to three years, and Kaitlin Brantley was also given three years, in addition to a consecutive sentence for a separate assault incident at a McDonald's while she was out on probation.
The pair, plus two other family members. Carol Brantley and Brittany Brantley, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault in 2023.
The mother of the teen, Latisha Ford, told NewsNation local affiliate WREG her son, who worked as a host at Cheddar's, was attacked by a large group of people who had to be seated at two separate tables, and they took it out on her son.
