ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. —

An emergency medical technician has been fired over allegations of taking a photo of a body in the Anderson County morgue.

Alyssa Whitfield with the Anderson County Coroner's Office said, "Our office was made aware of, and began investigating, an allegation that a photograph was taken of a deceased body in our morgue."

Whitfield said the EMT who allegedly took the photo was an employee of MedShore Ambulance Service and she has since been terminated.

The coroner's office is continuing its investigation. No other details have been released.
