Glamour UK announced a group of trans women as among its 2025 “Women of the Year” — stoking outrage from outspoken author JK Rowling, who said the honor sends the wrong message to girls.

The British glossy said it was bestowing the annual award to nine trans women, dubbed “The Dolls,” saying “they “these trailblazers work tirelessly to empower, uplift and celebrate trans voices.”

But Rowling, the Harry Potter author who’s spoken out against trans issues, panned the decision.
