Vancouver City Council hopeful Pooneh Gray has spent more than $220,000 in her bid to unseat incumbent Councilor Kim Harless, but state campaign finance records show Gray’s campaign has gone deep into debt to do so.

According to Washington’s Public Disclosure Commission, as of Thursday, Gray’s campaign has spent $226,666 on her 2025 primary and general elections and collected $125,436 in contributions.

Gray has given her campaign a total of $56,306, which represents about 45 percent of her total contributions. Other major contributions are from individuals ($50,175) and businesses ($16,150). The Building Industry Association of Clark County and the Washington Realtors Political Action Committee have spent $45,890 on ads supporting Gray in the Nov. 4 general election.
