(KFVS) - Seven years ago, we first heard the name Robert Brashers and learned a long-dead career criminal was responsible for the murders of Portageville mother and daughter Sherri and Megan Scherer back in 1998.

The work to identify Brashers in southeast Missouri ultimately helped connect him to the 1991 shooting deaths of four Texas teenagers--known as the Yogurt Shop murders.

Now, authorities in multiple states, including Missouri, want to know what else he may have done, especially when he was younger.

“Just to think that this is what our guys walked into March ’98”, says Master Sargent Chris Hamlett as he looks over a large drawing of the Scherer home created by investigators. “And they had the wherewithal to be thinking outside the box.”
