TYLER, Texas — As the government shutdown continues, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits are set to be suspended Nov. 1.
Several East Texas businesses and organizations are stepping up to help their neighbors in need ahead of this potential loss.
If you or someone you know needs food assistance, check out the list below:
Geek World in Tyler starting Nov. 1 will be using 10% of sales to provide food assistance. They will also be giving non-perishable food to those that need it. For more information call 903-363-9751.
