Greenville girls’ soccer’s year ends at hands of Mechanicville in Section 2 Class B semifinals

NISKAYUNA — Mechanicville is an opponent that has been all too familiar for the Greenville girls’ soccer team in recent years.

After three years of Mechanicville ending the Spartans’ season in the Section 2 Class B tournament, Greenville fell to the Wasaren League power again on Wednesday by a score of 6-2 in the semifinal round, where the two teams have met since 2023.
