First responders were called out Thursday afternoon after a woman attempting a border crossing got stuck on concertina wire at the top of the fence at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The woman is stuck on the top of the wall near the intersection of Britannia Court and Britannia Boulevard.

San Diego's Urban Search and Rescue team has been dispatched from its downtown headquarters to help create a pulley system to safely extricate the woman, an official from San Diego Fire Rescue told NBC 7.

NBC 7 has a crew on the way to cover this story.
