FAIRFAX, S.C. — A South Carolina man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a state investigation into an incident that happened days earlier.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) said 21-year-old Tavion Emari Permeer Carlton of Allendale County was arrested and booked into the Allendale County Jail on Oct. 28 after an incident that happened in the Fairfax area on Oct. 25.
Warrants allege that Carlton arrived at a home in the early morning hours to get a gun that was left on the porch. Investigators said he then forced his way into the home and into a bedroom while armed.
There, he allegedly got into an argument with someone and opened fire, wounding one of the people in the upper torso. That person was flown to an area hospital for treatment. SLED warra
