ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Illinois State Board of Education released the Illinois Report Card today, showing how schools around the state are performing based on certain metrics. Rockford Public Schools earned three schools with exemplary status, with another eleven getting a commendable status.

Haskell Elementary, Marshall Elementary, and Marshall Middle Schools have been recognized for their outstanding performance.

Marshall Elementary has achieved the highest math and language arts proficiency scores in the state for the third consecutive year. Marshall Middle School leads the state among middle schools in these categories.

Sidney Graves, principal of Thurgood Marshall Elementary, expressed pride in the recognition.
