LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) - Two men from opposite sides of the state have spent their whole lives in Iowa and have dedicated their time to serving Iowans.

The two met at Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars, Iowa, and are now about to embark on a new mission together.

92-year-old Clayton Hodgson and 72-year-old Steve Beveridge have spent their entire lives giving back to Iowans. Next week, they’ll broaden their service and give back to those in another country.

For Steve Beveridge and Clayton Hodgson, serving others isn’t just what they do; it’s who they are.

“I worked for Berkley Bedell, I was on his staff for 14 years,” said Hodgson.

Hodgson served on the staff of Iowa Congressman Berkley Bedell, as a farm advisor, and eventually ran for Bedell’s seat in Congress in 1986.
