Gunner Stockton has revenge on the mind heading into Georgia’s clash against Florida, with his motivations running deeper than football.
The Bulldogs quarterback lost his grandfather to a heart attack 15 years ago, with the incident somewhat tied to a loss to the Gators.
Stockton will have his first chance to beat Florida in the rivalry game this coming Saturday, having replaced Carson Beck as the starting QB following the latter’s transfer to Miami.
An impressive season is being put together, with six wins coming from seven appearances, one of which reportedly resulted in a referee being banned. Stockton has thrown for 1,553 yards, 10 touchdowns, and just one INT, adding 279 rushing yards and seven scores from the ground, having established himself as a dual threat.
