NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - Chalin Gandy is a senior wide receiver for the St. Mary’s Tigers whose 18 yard touchdown reception was integral to the Tigers’ 28-6 win over Lasalle.
“It feels amazing when your coach calls on you, and he can trust in you to call on your number over and over again,” said Gandy.
“Him being an athlete and going up and getting that ball gave us the momentum we needed to carry out the rest of that game,” said senior receiver and safety AJ Lavespere. “Momentum’s a big thing, and once you have all the momentum, you really can do a lot of damage.”
Gandy is by no means the largest man on the field, but with diligence and practice he’s become a consistent, reliable asset for Head Coach Kedrin Seastrunk. Now, this Tiger is emerging from the shadows and is ready to roar
