Gayle King may no longer be the host of CBS Mornings after next year, Variety reports. Her contract expires next May, and there are rumors that she might shift to another role on the CBS News team amid the Skydance and Paramount merger. However, according to CBS News, there have been no talks with King yet. In a statement shared with Vulture, a CBS News spokesperson shares, “There have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026. She’s a truly valued part of CBS, and we look forward to engaging with her about the future.” King has been with CBS since 2012 as one of the original co-anchors for CBS This Morning until 2021, when she transitioned to their new morning program, CBS Mornings .
