The City University of New York wants to make sure more of its students find jobs after graduating and acknowledges that graduating with a degree isn’t always enough to enter the workforce.

The CUNY chancellor delivered his annual State of the University address Wednesday night, where he unveiled a plan he claims is “the nation’s most ambitious career initiative.”

It’s called CUNY Beyond, and the initiative aims to triple the number of students in paid internships and increase employer recruitment from CUNY by 20%.
