LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Drivers have struck and killed around 60 pedestrians in Clark County this year, even more if you include people on bikes, scooters and their motorized varieties.

“It's been a hard couple weeks in Clark County,” Clark County District A Commissioner Michael Naft said. “We've seen some of the most tragic cases that we have ever seen. We have gotten the attention, for better or worse, of a whole lot of people in this community.”

Naft gathered with other elected leaders and road safety advocates to launch the annual "Dusk2Dawn" awareness campaign using posters in buses and at stops. They’re trying to stop the number of crashes from going up as the sun starts to go down sooner.
