CINCINNATI (WXIX) -Police have arrested a man in connection with a 2024 fatal shooting that occurred in College Hill.

Officers say they arrested 34-year-old Deandre Sherman in connection with the shooting death of 40-year-old Bennie Byrd .

On September 29, 2024, police were called to the 6000 block of Winton Road for the report of multiple shots fired in the area.

Once police arrived, they saw Byrd suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

Police say that medics started life-saving measures, but Byrd died at the scene.
