MINNEAPOLIS — A stunning turn of events in the retrial for the alleged mastermind behind a Minneapolis realtor's murder.
Lyndon Wiggins is on trial for allegedly planning the kidnapping and murder of real estate agent Monique Baugh in 2019.
Wiggins’ defense attorney called Berry Davis to the witness stand Wednesday afternoon to testify in his defense.
Davis is currently serving prison time after being convicted in Baugh’s kidnapping and murder case.
Davis maintains that he is innocent of these crimes and that he was not at the scene of the crime despite several pieces of evidence that suggest he was at the scene the night Baugh died.
During cross-examination, prosecutors hurled a flurry of difficult questions at Davis in an attempt to get him to break and admit to the crime.
