New Delhi: Though rain washed out the first match after 9.4 overs, Suryakumar Yadav had shown signs of return to form through his 24-ball 39, which comes as a relief for India ahead of the second T20I in Melbourne on Friday.
Yadav had been short of runs for a while now but he didn’t look rusty or under-confident when he was at the crease in the first game, taking India to 97/1 before rain ruined the day in Canberra.
Weather forecasts have predicted rain in Melbourne on Friday too but since it is beyond anyone’s control, not much could be done about it.
India would rather concentrate on how to bash the Australian bowling attack that is low on experience and led by Josh Hazlewood.
