LA VERKIN, Washington County — A paraglider was killed when he crashed into some power lines on Thursday evening, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Sgt. Lucas Alfred said dispatchers received a report of the crash, which occurred in the La Verkin side of the Confluence Park, at approximately 5:45 p.m. Witnesses told responding officers the paraglider had flown into the power lines.
Alfred said the man was located and pronounced dead on the scene. It wasn't immediately known what led to the crash or what the paraglider's exact cause of death was, the sergeant said. No information about the man was released on Thursday.
