Kulgam : A meeting of the District-Level Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) Committee was Thursday convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan at the Mini Secretariat Kulgam to review measures for curbing substance abuse and narcotic trade in the district.

SSP Kulgam, Anayat Ali Choudhary; ADC Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Gir; SDM DH Pora, Bashir-ul-Hassan; ACR, Riyaz Ahmad Shah; ACD, Bilal Ahmad Kamgar; Tehsildars and other members of the NCORD Committee attended the meeting.

During the meeting, a detailed review was held on the implementation of decisions taken in previous sessions and the actions initiated by enforcement agencies to combat the drug menace.

It was informed that 76 drug peddlers were arrested and 65 FIRs registered in last few months.
