Shillong, Oct 30:The state government has claimed that the CM Connect programme, where Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma holds town hall-style meetings, has received a 92 per cent approval rating from the general public.

In a release today, the government said that more than 30,000 citizens have been assisted through 15,000 direct interactions. No evidence was provided to back up these claims, not least of which was the very high approval rating.

Today the CM held one of these meetings in Mawkynrew constituency, a seat held by his party colleague Banteidor Lyngdoh. Sangma engaged with individuals and community leaders on issues such as road connectivity, agriculture, power, education, healthcare and water supply.
